How can we say, we are civilized beings?

Every hour we feel proud.

Yet, most spit on the ground. 

Ignorance of how the changes we can bring, 

How can we say, we are civilized beings?

Now and then, we chop down trees.

Before we learn, it will cease.

Mere mortals deaf to their feelings,

How can we say, we are civilized beings?

Minor distance? We'll use a car.

Would it be ok? If we go far.

When we turn blind to these things,

How can we say, we are civilized beings?

Animals killed for our food.

For each life, I don't feel good.

Day by day, the numbers are decreasing,

How can we say, we are civilized beings?

It is us killing biodiversity.

For the next to face adversity.

If we cannot change our wrong doings,

How can we say, we are civilized beings?
